GACRS and Fort Discovery Museum host the 2006 Fall Statewide Conference in honor of National Adoption Month.

Judy, Resource Advisor and Laveda, Project Coordinator prepare to register the 50 plus parents and children who attended the Training event.

Dr. Alex Mabe, Ph.D. Psychologist speaking to parents on How to Discipline in a positive way. The audience listens while their children engage in hands-on activities in the museum.

Children and parents enjoyed snacks and lunch together throughout the day of activities.

It was National Adoption Day all over the country on Saturday, November 18, 2006. The Georgia Center hosted a Statewide Conference in Augusta at the Fort Discovery Museum in honor of Adoptive parents. Parents and children attended the day of Training for parents and activities for children. All had a wonderful time.

Mrs. Patricia Tuten and her daughter Regina Banda talk with parents about their experience with positive discipline as mother and daughter. The parents were especially moved by the information Ms. Banda shared with them on disciplining foster and adopted children.
